Ultra-V™ Vertical Pressure Screen
Screening/Fractionation

Ultra-V™ Vertical Pressure Screen

The Ultra-V vertical pressure screen line features proven innovations created especially for today’s competitive pulp and paper industry.

As the world’s most experienced screen manufacturer, we developed the Ultra-V with our patented bottom-fed, up-flow technology to provide unsurpassed performance and reliability in virgin fiber, secondary fiber, stock preparation and broke systems around the world.

Benefits
  • Early and efficient debris removal protects down stream equipment
  • Lower inlet pressure requirements save energy
Float Purger™ Stock Cleaning System
Screening

Float Purger™ Stock Cleaning System

The robust unit concentrates plastics and other low density contaminates, completing the defibering of accept material. It is usually used in the coarse screening loop of any furnish that is heavily contaminated and not fully defibered.

Gentle on debris, this energy efficient, low maintenance system removes more than 90% of light rejects while trapping heavy debris as well – both virtually fiber free.

Benefits
  • Energy Efficient - Applying power only where required
  • High removal of light contaminants such as plastics, polystyrene, and styrofoam
Slotted Drum Screen
Detrashing

Slotted Drum Screen

The slotted drum screen is a non-vibrating, low attrition tailing screen that removes debris normally found in the coarse screening loop of most fiber recycling mills.

Ideally suited for processing rejects from a Kadant Float Purger™ stock cleaning system or anywhere a non-pressurized tailing screen device is used.

Benefits
  • Low horsepower requirements saves on energy consumption
  • Extremely efficient for the removal of styrofoam
XCEL™ NT Forward Cleaner
Cleaning

XCEL™ NT Forward Cleaner

The XCEL NT removes granular debris, grit, glass, sand, pins, staples, gravel, metal, dirt, abrasives, and other small heavy objects while saving you power.

Benefits
  • Up to 38% power savings
  • Greater efficiency at higher consistency
  • More capacity than competitive units
FiberNET™ Pressure Screen
Long Fiber Recovery

FiberNET™ Pressure Screen

The FiberNET utilizes an enclosed drum-style rotor, which eliminates stringing issues associated with screening stock having high debris levels. The screen cylinder incorporates two cylinder sections which can be optimized separately for open area, slot size and profile angle.

Small slots are used for system efficiency, and fiber savings are realized by reducing long fiber loss. By improving the screening system yield, the FiberNET provides substantial savings to the mill by reducing furnish and landfill costs.

Benefits
  • Low capital cost and reduced landfill expenditure
  • Maximum system fiber yield provided by two screening stages with dilution
BoosTEK™ Performance Pack
Screening

BoosTEK™ Performance Pack

The BoosTEK Performance Pack revolutionizes fiber processing in OCC recycling, stock preparation and pulp mills. Designed for fine screening systems, BoosTEK utilizes system pressure to amplify the breakdown of stock mats that form on, and ultimately block, the screen cylinder.

This proprietary technology improves the performance of the screen resulting in lower energy consumption, increased capacity, improved contaminant collection, and a higher yield of clean fiber.

Benefits
  • Uses less energy by reducing hydraulic load while also reducing fiber loss
  • Optimized for maximized performance and flow
  • Small footprint and low installation cost for quick and easy installation
Thickening

Direct Discharge™ Disk Filter

The Kadant Direct Discharge Disk filter is optimal for stock thickening and water return/ channeling, removing water from pulp slurry.

The disk filter’s main advantage over other dewatering equipment is that it retains most of the fibers. Very clear filtrate means that the water can be returned up-front in the previous steps of the process without carrying fibers that have already gone through the process.

Benefits
  • Direct discharge design allows for thicker pulp mats to enter the stock chute unimpeded and without damaging build-up
  • Extended vacuum drying zone maximizes water reclamation

Reject Handling
